What do these lights mean on my dashboard

I have a 1998 Mercedes ML 320 and on my dashboard my ETS light came on one day when it was raining really bad and has not gone off. NOW the light right next to it that looks like a SUN goes on and off. Do you know what the light like the SUN means?
