Speedometer isn't working and the SRS light stays on

Unfortunatley you have a champagn car on a beer pocketbook!
SRS ligt can be tested, there are codes stored in the computer to point you in the right direction...The speedo could be a bad cable or gear on the tranny.

I have been having problems with my srs light and the mechanic says it might have something to do with my alarm system. Everyone I ask hasn't heard of that. I just notice that my speedometer isn't turning.Can you please point me in the right direction to get this taken care of ? the speedo head needs sent out and repaired, the restraint sys could be a couple things, depends what codes are stored, has it ever been wrecked?
