How do i remove the ignition switch/cylinder lock from the dash of a 1973 mercedes 280 SL ?

you need to remove the instrument cluster and the clamp around the ignition switch you should see a small button on the top the key must be turned on to push the button down then you can remove the switch with a twisting motion
