need to know how to dismantle brake calipers, so the tool I have will reach lower nut without backing plate getting in the way

On the back of the caliper assembly there are two 18mm bolts holding the caliper to the hub assembly. Prior to removeing these bolts relieve presure on the pads by gently prying them with a screwdriver. Be aware not to damage the pad or rotor.
