Do you have a check engine light before it finally died ?

Do below and tell me whats missing fuel or spark

Get a starting fluid or ether and spray into the carb or the throttle body on an EFI. Did it start and die? If not disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs,distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors- Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

It happend to my car a few months ago, change crank position sensor, and cam position sensor not helped, I changed the metal relay behind battery (covered with a pastic cover too.) with 9 legs and it started right away, hope this helps.

Hey Same user diffrent name (the one whom posted the question), I was ignorant of the last reply that i had on this question. So today I went to the MB dealership and talked to a couple of the techs they informed me of a common problem with the W124 cars, the voltage overload protection relay located near the fire wall and on the computer has "problems" that can cause your car not to start. So I brought the part 116.00 $ and a big dent to my wallet (college student) and replaced it in the parking lot. The car started right up like the previous post person said. So I went to a store, and tried to cut it off, but it would not cut off so i put the car in drive and switched the ignition off it finally cut off and has been doing fine ever since so thanks to everybody who attempted helping me solve my problem.
