Filter in transmission found in bottom of pan.

rough shifting in and out of 1st gear. otherwise shifts smoothly.

Was it serviced with the proper M/B fluid? Sounds like it may be a valve-body or solenoid issue. Has any work been done to the trans before? I dont see any TSB (Tech Service Bulletins) that pertain to harsh 1st gear shifts, except under full throttle.
