2002 Mercedes Benz CLK320 low fuel light flashing

I have a low fuel light that has started to flash

it has happend two times in the past two days

I stopped and started the car and it went away the first time.

The second time the check engine light came on with the flashing low fuel

I shut it off and restarted and the low fuel went away but the check engine stayed on????

Any ideas?

Hi there,

The first thing you will have to do is get the code scanned, the flashing fuel light may be a faulty sender unit in the fuel tank.
