I was quoted $2500 to rebuild my transmission, does this sound like a reasonalbe price?

Hi there,
this is just impossible to know with out knowing what is wrong with the transmission, there are very complex and expensive items to overhaul, i feel that the price quoted is some where around the mark, but don't be surprised if it is some what higher after it is dismantled and inspected.
