Hi,

My car stalled at traffic lights yesterday, restarted without a problem, drove half a mile, then gas pedal didn't work/engine stayed at idle, parked the car near the curb, and I think I stopped it (it probably didn't stall this time, though not sure), and tried starting it without success. Tried about 5-6 times in a row, nothing. Cranks but does not start. Then I opened the hood, tried listening to the engine although I don't know much about them :( But I don't know if it's normal, when the key is in position 2, there is a humming sound coming from the cables toward the windshield.
Fuel filter was replaced 5k miles ago by a friend, although I remember him saying that he used a non standard clamp for the filter.

I tried to start it again about 10 minutes later without success, and hasn't tried again after towing it back home.

update: I listened to the sound from under the hood again today, it's a loud humming sound or like a buzzing sound. I opened the trunk, listened to any sound there, after turning the key to position 2, waiting 5-6 seconds, another buzzing sound starts from inside of the fuel cap, or somewhere there.

Fuel is more than half tank full. There is no leak from fuel filter. My friend checked a few things, said gas is pumped without a problem. Tried jump starting, no luck.
Spark plugs are not conveniently located on a C280 engine, I couldn't manage to pull a spark plug, should I just yank it? And where is intake?
