within the past two weeks the air that cools and heats my car suddenly stopped shutting off, now I have to remove the fuse to shut ir off and by doing so my battery dies. Is there something I can do without taking back to the dealer?

If you haven't spotted it by now, if you turn the "REST" button on (it's on the venilation system), the car will do what it's supposed to do. It will keep fresh air moving into the car on warm days, and it will keep air moving over the heater core to provide warm air on cold days. It will stop when your battery is down to 11 volts.

If you shut the REST button off, it won't do that any more.

I had the same problem,I replaced the blower regulator, that is attached underneath the blower itself, I bought the regulator from ebay for $48, compare to dealers $323+tax. Look for my question in this website and it will give you the location of the regulator.
