I have a 96 mercedes c280 that I believe has a vacuum leak because I can hear a hissing noise early in morning. Its also running kind of rough I already change spark plugs and wires and egr vavle but I don’t believe they was gap correctly they was platinum plus that I was tols was pre-gapped I am a female so I don’t know allot about cars but know enough. I was told it could be a leak in the intake manifold but dont know where this is located .Will this be hard to fix? And if you suggest other areas to look let me know. Signed a female looking for a resolution.

to find the leak simply start it up, get some starting fluid or carb cleaner and slowly spray all the vaccum lines and the intake manifold around the base by the gaskets, if idle changes you have found the leak.

not too hard to change.

simplest way to put it is where the air hoses hook to, and what they hook to is the throttle body, and the throttle body is hooked to the intake manifold.
