Hood won't open

If the handle will not release then you may try pushing down on both corners of your hood a few times to help reset the latch assembly. This should also free up any binding in the assembly as well. After firmly pushing on the corners pull the release handle, it should open. If not there is a cable connected to the plastic release handle which can come loose. Attach a pair of vise grips to pull the cable open then you can replace or repair the cable, Here are some diagrams (below) so you can get the problem fixed.
