Hello, I am going to buy a used car 2008 or 2009 one of the Mercedes-Benz B170, B180 Or B200.
They are not hybrid, neither they are electric cars (As far as I know).
Someone suddenly told me as an advice: "Oh man, do not buy Mercedes B170 because it has a permanent problems related to the gear, people face problems in the gear, and after they are costed to buy and replace the gear for over than $400.00 USD, still after three or four months again the gear is damaged, so they keep being in this cycle until they decide to give up the car, so do not buy that car".
Now this "advice"' broke my plan (at least temporarily) until somebody there have any of such model (B170, B180 or B200) to tell me their experience about it, if what is mentioned in the advice is correct or not about the gear!
Also, I am concern about the fuel consumption as I had bad experience in the past about another car (Nissan) and I do not want to have such bad experience repeated again when I buy another one instead.
Please help. I seek your honest review, opinion and experience about it. Thanks in advance.
