I have a 86 sdl the turbo is not kicking in when I bought it I replaced a vacum line on it and it worked for a week then quit again. I changed the pressure switch and the switchover valve it still will not kick in. The turbo works but will not kick in.

The turbo should be constantly spinning and providing boost pressure, check for pressure leaks in the intake, and check for pre-turbo exhaust leaks. Also check the waste gate or blow off valve to be sure it is not stuck open.
