Engine Performance problem
1984 Mercedes Benz 300sd Automatic 240000 miles

i got a 300sd but i don't like the desiel engine sound, someone reccomended that i should put in a blast pack or something to make it sound better, but is there any other way which would reduce the noise or make it sound more like a muscle car?

I don't understand why you would want to make a problem when there is no problem? I have an 84 300D where I lost the total exhaustion from the firewall back, I've been driving it but you cannot even tell that I have no exhaust, that is because the diesel engine uses all of its power in the cylinder and does not make very much noise, if you want your car to be noisy and sound like a muscle car you better sell it and get yourself gas car that waste half of the power by making noise out of the exhaust.
