Engine Mechanical problem
1983 Mercedes Benz 300sd Two Wheel Drive Automatic 250000 miles
the car is a five cylinder diesel and when you start the car there is excessive black smoke and as the engine rotates through the cylinder cycle their is a popping sound like it is missing-I have had other mercedes diesel and have never heard this sound-also as the engines warms up it seems that the rough way it starts out seems to clear up some- shut it off and goes back to the above- thanks Peter
