1988 Mercedes Benz 300e Won't stay running!

First there's NO such thing as an Elite, The E stands for fuel-injected or gas model. Same goes for D = Diesel, T = Turbo.....Google Mercedes

Start by looking for vacuum leaks at the intake. Check the cold start valve or the idle valve to see if they are functioning properly.
