Smells problem
1991 Mercedes Benz 190e Automatic 200000 miles
I have a 1991 Mercedes 190e 2.3. I went to take it through inspection at the DMV & it failed. They said there's an exhaust leak. I haven't noticed any smell, or smoke, etc. I just got the vehicle, I did notice when I got it that the muffler was hanging a bit low, so I had someone secure it back up. I noticed when I looked at the muffler that i looked rusty. My question is does this sound like amajor repair, or is ot something that I can maybe fix cheaply? I just want it fixed/rigged enough to pass inspection. I got th car real cheap & I'm really just hoping toget 6month to a year out of it. Thanks!
