Replaced battery and terminals, ignition switch and 4 pin square alternator connector.cleaned and tested battery cables off vehicle from starter to alternator to battery.did voltage drop test on both battery cables and they ohmed out good.the square connector to the alternators color wires didn't match the new connector. the color wires are red, blue, white and black.the original connector had a different orientation with the same color wires in the harness loom.i may have wired it incorrectly but can't find a diagram.the truck has a amp draw of 4.5 amps but only at the b+ side of the alternator, drains my battery quickly.i unhook the negative battery cable when not using the truck, now i found my battery almost melted and leaking so i replaced it under warranty and now have a re-manufactured alternator as well.any help fixing this will be very much appreciated.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

I attached the entire wiring schematic for the charging system. I had to break the picture into three parts to make it readable. I overlapped them so you can follow it easier.

Let me know if this helps.
