I have a 1990 Mazda B2200 pickup, 128k miles and 4 cyl. engine. I'm not sure of the size.

My problem is a noise in the clutch or transmission. When I let the clutch out with the car in gear it make a squealing noise momentarily. Doesn't happen every time bust almost every time. I don't here the noise after the clutch is fully engaged. If I release the clutch VERY slowly while in neutral I can get the noise at one particular point but cannot get it to prolong as it does when the car is in gear. I suspected throwout bearing but the problem I have creating the noise in neutral puzzles me. Do you have any thoughts?

It does sound like your throwout bearing. A throwout bearing can make noise in and out of gear. You will be having to remove the transmission to replace a throwout bearing, so I would go ahead and replace the entire clutch system.
