door ajar light often comes on and stays on when doors are shut, white makes the chime go off and the interior light stay on . where is the usual problem? thanks

first thing to check is the switches in the door jam that make the light go off.

sometimes they have rubber boots on them and the rubber fall apart. so the plunger needs that extra thickness of rubber to push it in all the way.

or the doors are not shutting as tightly as they use to. so the switches need to be adjusted.
