I turned on my heater in the truck and then in a few minutes all this air was coming out from right behind the compressor in short bursts. Is there something i need to replace or look at specifically?

Your AC compressor is leaking-the short bursts is the freon

Thank you for your reply but there seems to be valve right bhind my air compressor and the freon only burts out when the heater is on not when its cool. would the whole compressor need to be replaced or is it the valve?

AC compressor its about $350.00 on the high side -shop around for a better deal. Try the outside source before you go to the dealer.
