1980 Mazda RX7 70,000 original miles 1.1 rotary 12A This car starts up and runs ok, but once you get going and accelerating, it smokes. If i stop at a signal, when I take off, it completly covers the whole car behind me in smoke. If I get moving along at one speed steady, it does not smoke. It does look like water is in the oil and its pretty thin. It also sputters alot.
Thanks
Randy

that is almost always a sign of a blown head gasket or a cracked/warped head.

perform a compression test, the lowest cylinder should be no less then 75% of the highest.

I appreciate your reply and I would have thought all those things true if this car had a conventional motor, but it is Rotary and does not have a head or cylinders.
Thanks

Best thing i could say is to get a compression test done, I had one 13b do that too me, found out that the block was cracked, letting in extra oil. hope you didnt get a cracked block.
