I have a 1981 Mazda Rx-7, its got a lil over 160,000 i believe. It's a 1.1L 12A Rotary engine, The question I have is that the engine burns oil excessively and this didnt start happening uintil i got back home from a trip i took in the car. I know it is probably the seals or O-rings but i know if it were the seals the Spark Plugs would be Oil Fouled and wet, but thats not the car, they have a lot of Carbon deposit on them but thats it. other than that I just need to know if it could be anything else or what the problem is and how to go about fixing it. Thank you.[img:006679a29c]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/58805_1981_MAZDA_RX7_1.jpg[/img:006679a29c]

Well there is a chance that the oil metering pump has failed or is stuck wide open.

This is the little pump on the front of the motor near the crank pulley with 4 rubber/plastic lines coming out of it.
