You would be much better off just to sell the one you have and buy an automatic. The average selling price of an automatic RX-7 is cheaper than that of stick so you would come out ahead in the long run and save yourself a big hassle. To actually do the conversion you would need not only the transmission itself, but a new ECU and wiring harness, new center console, and possibly a different drive shaft and mounting hardware (not sure on the last 2) and probably a lot of other things that I cant think of right now. In the end, after spending all that money and doing all that work, you will have a car with worse performance and a lower resale value than what you had before.
