Engine Performance problem

this is a 1989, RX-7 turbo eng
engine started, let idle only a few minutes, shut off, next day tried to start, no start, has fuel smell, `seems to be fuel flooded, tried older SE method, disconnect fuel pump, remove plugs, crank to clear eng, reinstall plugs, still will not start. what do I do next to start this eng,
