Engine Mechanical problem
1985 Mazda RX7 Manual 70000 miles

I have an '85 Rx7 GS that has been sitting in a garage for 16 years. I have decided to do something with it. It needs a carburetor, front catalytic converter, windshield, a brake rotor at the least. The body is in great shape. The old oil and gas have been drained, and have gotten the car started. Is this worth fixing up? Will the rotary engine be OK after all that time? Thanks.

Well weather it is worth it is up to you. If you like the car and have patience and time and money then go for it. As for the engine the rotory is a very powerful engine when built and weather it is good depends on weather it smokes or uses oil. As for a carb I would look at weber or holley and do some internet digging. If there is anything more you need let me know. Thanks for your support
