2001 Mazda Protege doesn't shift from low1 to low2 it goes

2001 Mazda Protege Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi I'm from Aruba and need a quick answer to my problem if possible my car suddenly won't shift normal in drive ,it goes from low 1 stays in high revolution then goes right away to drive (3) ..and the hold light on the dashboard blinks on and off. What could be the problem is it the sensor? or gear problems?

I would love to give a donation but having a small problem with my credit card at this moment it's holding all my online transactions and I can't fix it until tomorrow when the banks opens .
