I am working on replacing the water pump (and timing belt) and I am having trouble removing the failed pump. The inlet pipe that is attached to the water pump with two bolts is inaccessible - blocked by the power steering pump.
I have tried to remove the bolt that the PS pump pivots on (to tighten the belt) but that bolt is too long to remove. I also removed two bolts that appear to be joining the PS mount bracket to the engine block, but the pump still does not move.
What am I missing?
