I have a "grinding" noise coming from the front end, left side at low speeds. When I turn wheel to right it stops, when straight ahead or to left the sounds remains the same. This all started when the ABS light went on, related? CV or bearing issue?
Mechanic just replaced the rotors, was that right?

Thank you!

The rotors could be warped and needs resurfacing or the caliper is not retracting. Jack up that side and spin the wheel is the noise present?

Subject: mazda front end noise...
the noise is still there when I spin the wheel. Just had new rotors/pads installed on both sides other day. When jacked I could see pad is ok, spins free.

Why I'm thinking bearing or cv, could that be it?

It's not a metal on metal grinding noise, more like if you had tires with fat tread on them, a whirring noise at low speeds...go past 40mph and it stops.

Thanks for your help!

Sounds like wheel bearing-okay tighten up the spindle nut just a little and recheck the noise for changes while still jacked up
