1994 Mazda Protege Ac Fuse Keeps Blowing

ok my ac fuse under the hood 20amp keeps popping i put a new one in about 2 minutes later it pops again ac clutch does engage and ac blows cold air before the fuse blows i took it to a shop and they said the ac compressor clutch may be bad and is drawing to much currant and blowing the fuse i just want a second opinion before i pay $700 to have a new compressor put in

First of all thank you so much for your donation.If the fuse blow's every time after the a/c is on for a few min's.Then here's what i would do unplug the a/c compressor then turn the a/c on and see if the fuse still blow's after a few min's if it doesn't blow then it look's like it's the clutch.if it still's blow's it's not the clutch it's some where else.
