Engine Performance problem

Just got all my plugs and hoses replaced. 1996 mx6, ran fine then one day started shaking horribly while i accelerated. its off and on. one time ill get in and it will drive fine. next thing i know its shaking up and down the block. it feels like a shake when u stall like it throws u back and forward. there is a small crack in the air filter but its not leaking air. please tell me some possible problems so i know where to look. it happens in all gears and when its bad it feels like it wants to stall. the rpms go up then down up then down
