Where is the fuel filter located in the Mx5? I understand that it may be a (sock type) on the pickup in the fuel tank.

This car now has a hesitation like my past cars I have had that had a bad fuel filter that also had fuel injection systems.

We only use high octane fuel in this car as recommended. I suspect this could be the problem, however the tank is full and the car still has hesitation, so if this is a (sock style) filter equipped then this MX5 must have a another problem occurring.

Thanks Magyver

The fuel filter is located on the right hand side of the engine, in the back near the fire wall. There is also a sock type filter on the fuel pump in the gas tank. It is located behind the driver's seat. You have to fold the carpet out of your way. There is access panel, remove the screws and wires and the pump will lift out. Assemble in reverse order.
