2000 Mazda Millenia My car get hot and sounds like a diesel

The TCS off light comes on, then when I press on the accelerator it sounds like a diesel truck. If I go to long doing this the car will shut off. I open the hood and its smoking. Please help!

Check if the engine is overheating and also the EGR valve and Knock sensor-a problem with these areas will cause the engine to ping/detonate that sounds like a diesel engine under acceleration
