1998 Mazda Millenia steering wheel adjustment

My wife has the same problem with hers. We have had it checked out and there is a control switch under the steering collum that goes bad. And as far as i have been able to tell there is no way to do it manually. You can either beat on it (which is what the mechanic suggested, ??) or replace it, which is what i would suggest if its too much of a bother for you. Hope that helps, good luck!
