1997 Mazda Millenia 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

crankshaft, turning the crankshaft by hand till compression stroke on the #1 piston. Whats the steps involved?

If its actually on the no.1 compression stroke/TDC open up the distributor cap and look at the rotor it should be pointing to no.1 cap tower if so remove old one and set new one in the way you see it before you remove the old one.
