2004 Mazda b3000 brakes moaning

I really wish I could hear the moan. The flex hose sounds like the correct repair based on the description of the problem. I would also bet the right front rotor is warped due to the flex hose problem as well. It was making the right front do all the work, therefore building up a lot of heat. Back to the moaning noise. Is it only when you apply the brakes or as you come to a stop or what? Let's try, if we can, to be more specific as far as when it makes the noise. It may be as simple as sanding the pads, or even replacing them. They may be glazed real bad. That will cause a moan. It can also cause a high pitched squeal. get back with me and we'll try to get you fixed up.

moan is not a squeal or screech, lower frequency broader sound continuous.
Before brake hose was changed; start commute to work in morning, stop and go in town driving, stop at coffee shop after 7 or lights, inching forward in the line up, light brake pressure, moaning starts as brake pedal is released, continued till brakes applied, (I think), etc, drive down highway for 10 mins or so, apply brakes and release, no moaning, off hiway into town again several lights moaning returns

After brakes hose replaced, no problems on morning commute at all. Sat morning, doing errands, in town,
many lights stop and go traffic, stop at one shop, then go to the next place, 5-15 mins travel time between, 5-30 mins stops while shopping, after two or more hours of same, moaning returns similar to before brake lines replaced. I did some medium hard braking to get feel of the truck as i was driving around and as traffic conditions permitted, on the last medium hard braking that I did,the brakes locked very briefly and truck pulled to the right

After both front rotors and pads replaced both wheels, symptoms are the same as after change brake hose, essentially, changing pads and rotors made no difference.

During Sat morning errand running around, feel of brake pedal changes over time, Early in morning, brakes apply smoothly, easy to feather pedal and pressure, as time passes, brakes start to grab a bit, truck runs straight while this happens, Harder braking shows more grabbing, have not had the time to try any systematic hard braking tests.
Typically, I do lot of light braking, no jack rabbit stop and go type of driving


Can't give you much info about back brake shoes other than what I said in previous question as i didn't much of a look at them when my mechanic checked them.

It almost sounds like the brakes are getting hot and grabbing. The hotter they get, the more they'll grab (usually) and the feel of the pedal will change as well. The caliper itself on the left side may be sticking instead of the flex hose. If so, it's holding the pads against the rotor and getting them hot. This, in turn, will heat the brake fluid up eventually to a boil. As the fluid gets hotter and hotter, the pedal will become mushy. I say the left caliper because you say that it still pulls to the right when you brake. This means the left side isn't working as much as the right side. I think I would start by checking that. The master cylinder itself could be holding the pads against the rotors as well, causing the feel of the pedal to change when the fluid gets hot. Hope this helps some. I had new calipers put on my b3000, but i still have the moaning not as often, and always after I let up on the brake pedal.
Also, sometinmes at low speed and sometimes at higher speed, the brakes lock up very briefly when doing moderate to hard braking, I think this is the ABS system reacting l\slowly, My 97 ranger did the same thing,. I read somewhere the that the Mazda/rangers dont have the best ABS system around. In any event the truck drives true when braking, no more pulling to the right. Just sometimes the moaning.

Starting to wonder if it could be the rear drums, but it doesn't happen all the time
