1994 Mazda b3000 Starter replacement

Have a starter motor and solenoid for replacement, have jacked up the truck and blocked it underneath for safety, yet one of two bolts is too close to the exhaust cross over pipe to use a socket wrench, requires an "open and box" flat wrench for the space.

It seems to require a 13mm wrench, correct?

Is it proper to change starter without removal of cross-over exhaust pipe?

This truck was a gift to the God and Country Foundation and gets me to events to speak about the Founding Fathers, so I have little money for repairs.

How to proceed?

many times it is necessary to remove other parts that may be in the way. however, in the vast jungle of available tools in the world something should work to at least get the bolt out, if possible use a line wrench so you dont round off the bolt, if that doesnt work, there have been times where i get a buddy to hold down exhaust to get that extra half inch of space such as on a 1999 silverado trans pan. remember also that if you cant get the bolt out, chances are you cant get the part out either.
