the interior light stays on. and the gong some times
fails to shut off . Where are the door switches located an where is that blankety blank gong
sounder?Pulling the gong fuse sadly also takes out
the windshield wipers and the speedometer. Have
pulled the interior light fuse.

There should be a small button that presses in when the door shuts.it would be located somewhere around the door framing itself.And the door when shut pushes it in.If the switch is bad then it will not turn off the light.You can pull the switch out and see if you have a bad switch and also test to see if teh light goes out.
