I am replacing the crankshaft and rebuilding the engine in my 93' b2200. When it was running it had a good few emission problems, i believe the Vacuum control valve broke along with several hose placement problems. That being said, If I were to buy something such as a webber carb kit, would it work? Also, would it allow me to get rid of most of the confusing vacuum / emissions systems?

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

The Webber carby is a great unit, but there are a number of draw backs, the cost off setting up will be expensive and getting it tuned will be a specialist job as it must be re jetted to suit your engine and this should be done on a dyno by someone that really knows Webber's, they are troubler free when set up correctly but you must make sure that the choice is correct as you may well be over carburetted and this will drink the fuel at an alarming rate.
