There is not a leak to be found anywhere but air keeps coming into the system from somewhere. You can hear the air at the drivers side rear wheel. Only the back brakes seem to be affected. What could be the problem?

If you have air in the brake system, you shouldn't be able to hear it. Have you tried bleeding the rear brakes to see if there is any air in the wheel cylinders? If you have air going in, you should have fluid coming out somewhere. Is there any evidence of fluid leaking down under the dash by the brake rod going through the firewall? Please advise

Yes we have bled the back brakes. The air can be heard at the back drivers side when the tire is off and the brakes are pumped up. We just replaced that cylinder and it did not help. Probably spent a half an hour trying to bleed the air out of the system and it was not getting any better. Any ideas?

Sometimes, by pumping the pedal, you can't move the fluid through the system fast enough to force all the air out. Gravity is fighting you and can keeps the air moving up. You may have to pressure bleed the system.
