if i got the timing wrong on my truck could it bend my valves? i did the timing all wrong and my truck will turn over but will not start. and when i first got it all put back togeather it made a clicking sound like the battery was dead then started to turn over. i was replacing the the head gasket and the timing is the only thing i got wrong. it has never started since i got it back togeater. could i have bent the valves since i put it back togeater. they were fine befor hand.

Its a non interference engine-What you need to do is put the engine no. 1 piston on compression stroke/TDC and reline the cam and crank sprockets with pulley at TDC/0 and make sure the rotor is pointing to the no. cap tower.
