My temperature gauge does not move at all, the guy in Gorman, CA who worked on the blown head gasket. Exchange my radiator along with the water temperature switch. Got a new one but was smaller size threads, got a used one, installed it but no luck?
temperature gauge still shows no movement. Any suggestions what could be the problem? Could it be water thermostat?

It sounds like the thermostat is stuck open. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when changing it out:

Yep, that was the problem with my truck. FYI Cost me $13.00 for a new one. All fixed!

Four cylinder two wheel drive manual.

My temperature guage has stopped working. I tried the "grounding the lead test" at the sending unit but there was no movenent of the guage. All fuses look good and I do not see any obvious wire damage. Any other test I can do?

Does the sensor have one or two wires in the connector? If there are two wires, that sensor is for the Engine Computer. Look for a sensor with one wire. That is for the gauge.

If the sensor had just one wire, work your way back to a connector where you can ground it again. The firewall connector is a good place for corrosion to develop in the connector pins.

You might end up in the instrument cluster, but follow the wire to there first.
