when I try to start my truck I get a buzz like a top is spinning up or something. When I let off the key it spins down till it stops. It doesn't turn over the engine at all. If I turn the key again before it's had a chance to spin all the way down then it just keeps spinning whatever it's spinning & it seems like it's never going to turn over the engine. It's not clicking like it's a dead battery. I'm relatively sure the battery is nice & strong. I try to start it over & over & over & eventually it'll turn over & if it starts to turn over even just a little bit then it'll fire right up. I'm positive it's not the ignition switch. When I got the truck (for free from my brother) 2 years ago I had to replace the fuel filter cause it would actually die on me. The really weird thing is that temperature effects how easy it is to start. I live in wyoming & the truck is from arizona. I think there might've been sand or dust in the fuel filter I had to replace. If it's a really hot day it's much more likely to start quickly & if it's freezing chances are it will take many many tries before it will start. But every now & then it does the opposite of this but not very often at all. When it's really hot from driving on the highway for a while it's sure to start right up if you turn it off. Also, it doesn't idle well. I'm not sure if this is related or not but I have to keep my foot on the gas pedal a little bit or it'll die at intersections. If it's extremely hot from highway driving then it won't die when it idles but it idles very low & sounds like it's about to die at any moment.

I've been told my starting problem could be the starter, sylinoid, the fuel pump, the fuel filter, the spark plugs, anything having to do with fuel & cloged lines, the carburator.

Can you narrow it down a bit for me? I'm broke & this truck is worth about what I paid for it (free) so I'm not interested in taking it to a mechanic. I'd like to just buy a part & slap it in & call it good. The more inexpensive the better. I don't want to waste time & money on a part that isn't going to fix it.

one last thing, I believe it's a b2000 not a b2200 but the b2000 wasn't listed as an option to select under model on your website.

Thank you so much for your help.

Have the starter load tested and get the fuel pressure checked out-
