I have a 1991 mazda 929 it is a V6 DOHC. The speedometer doesnt work it. The speedometer is analog. The RPm gauge works fine. I was just wondering if its a cable or if like computer. Also my warning lights (hold, check engine brake) al flicker and make like a clicking sound, would this be because my speedometer doesn work?

most 90's and up vehicle speed sensor for a lot of reason more than just information showing in ur speedometer as an input signal ....cit allows ur main computer to decide when to --> turn on & off a/c fan, crusing speed, shifting gear, engage and disengage
lock up gear .....etc. so if ur speedo is not working of course this is part of the ecm operation ...ur chk engine lite came on...fix it ....good luck
