This is my first 1990's major port fuel injection problem( have prior successful experiance with KIKI Diesel, 6-71 Detriot Diesel, GM throttle body injection) and with the idle speed adjusted up to 1900 RPM took it for a road test. The car speeds up at first very slow to 4000 RPM and levels off. Later during the test it is still a little sluggish and now finally gets up to 6000 RPM. When at the red light, the car will idle at 1900 RPM and then run rough with some hunting at 850-900 RPM. There is some hestitation when going up to 5o MPH. The car runs smoothly when first starting-up and gradually starts to run rough-worse when at operating temp. I checked for air noise pressurizing the valve cover- checked the compression(180-183 PSI), fuel system(75psi static, holds that pressure for 15min. easily) and then went to test ing the air intake system at 10 PSI with soap/water-it passed. I carefully sprayed gumout all round the head and intake manifold area top to bottom with no improvment in the vacuum leak. The vacuum gage reads 10 " HG (needle vibrates very little very fast)when the new EGR valve is connected and 14-15"HG when disconnected. DARYL
