We have a 1987 Mazda 626. We live in North Dakota and we had a span of very low temperatures (-40). Druing that time the battery died on the car, or so we thought. We jumped the battery, but when started to drive it killed and then would not even turn over. We purchased a new battery, but the same thing happens and continues to happen every time we try to charge the battery. What is wrong with it and what do we do?

Also check your charging system. The batteries may have been good still, but drained.
