Hello i am new here I just bought a 2000 Mazda 626 the interior lights do not come on when i open the doors, the automatic door locks do not work nor make a sound and the rear defroster doesn't work.i believe a car alarm somehow caused this problem since now there isn't one and i have only the secondary key to the car. So any ideas would be greatly appreciated. i have heard that maybe it is a central control module gone bad, but dont know where that is located to try and test it.

Check this fuse. PDL and interior light shares the circuit. For the rear defroster, does the light on the switch work?

Let's start with one problem at a time. Start with your door lock first.

As for your interior illumination, the operation is controlled by the CPU. Before ruling out the CPU, check your door switches first.

Well i finally got a chance to test this out and assuming i did this corectly i got nothing no buzzer, complete silence, so next step is to replace the cpu and try again i guess. First i got to find the cpu, and then track one down (maybe a junk yard). I'll get back to you.

I know the CPU runs all the operations, but can you just check the door lock control module #1 and #2? Who knows....
