In April 09 my Mazda 626 had a piston blow a hole in my block. I called around everyone said to replace the engine. So we replaced the engine with a 94 626 engine the car drove from the shop to the house okay. Not great but it ran. The check engine light came on and hasn't gone off. We had someone look at it because the fans weren't kickin on. They said to replace the fuses we did so the fans still don't come on. We have been haveing problems with the car since. We have replaced the alternator, the battery, and it shuts off still. We put a new battery in it and it semms like the alternator is rechargeing the battery to keep the car running. When you crank the car it takes awhile to get it to turn over; say it takes 5 times to turn over. The first 4 times it does nothing besides turn on the lights doesn't make a noise and the 5th time it will turn over with a bit of trouble. I'm debateing on wether or not to get maxda to make a new engine or get rud of the car however I don't want to get rid of the car! I just want it to run like it did before replaceing the engine. What can I do to get the car running smoothly

Let's recap:
- april 09 piston blew hole in block; replaced engine with 94
- got car back.
- fans don't kick on. Replaved fuses.
- new battery (age of batt. jan 09) trouble; got battery recharged at autozone.
- autozone said to seal a leak in the power steering,
Replace alternator, exchange battery.
- car continues to not start.
- when it does start takes 5+ times of turning the key in the ignition.
- reminding you the first 4 times it doesn't make a noice besides turning on lights and radio

I need your help!!

Check the fuel pressure if okay-have the ignition switch tested. Other possibilities are starter, starter relay, and transmission range switch.
