Hi,
I have a 1997 Mazda 626 which was running great until I changed my timing belt just couple of days back. I feel that the engine is misfiring at idle. At idle, with neutral, engine is idling at about 500-600 RPM. I have also noticed that sometimes, engine is idling at 1200-1500 RPM. Car drives smooth at speed above 40 MPH. What could be the problem? Is it something went wrong with the timing belt change? I am not sure if I should take it back to the same mechanic or show it to a new mechanic. Please suggest.
Thanks a lot!

Does it feel as though it accelerates a little slower than before? May have missed the cam/crank timing and made it up with the dist. Your call on th emechanic, could give them a chance to make it good.
